솔로몬의 아가 8장

1 오, 당신께서 저의 어머니의 젖가슴을 빤 저의 형제 같았더라면! 그러면 제가 밖에서 당신을 발견할 때 제가 당신께 입 맞출 것이요, 진정 제가 멸시받지 아니하리이다.

1 O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

2 제가 당신을 이끌어 당신을 저의 어머니의 집 안으로 데려갈 것이요, 그녀가 저를 지도하리이다. 제가 당신으로 하여금 저의 석류 과즙으로 향취를 돋운 포도즙을 마시게 하리이다.

2 I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

3 그분의 왼손은 나의 머리 아래에 있을 것이요, 그분의 오른손은 나를 껴안으리라.

3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

4 오, 예루살렘의 딸들인 너희여, 내가 너희에게 당부하노니, 그분께서 기뻐하시기 전까지는 너희가 나의 사랑을 흔들지도 말고 깨우지도 말라.

4 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please.

5 그녀의 사랑을 받는 이에게 기대어 광야에서부터 올라오는 이 여인은 누구인가? 내가 사과나무 아래에서 그대를 일으켰도다. 거기서 그대의 어머니가 그대를 낳았도다. 거기서 그대를 낳은 여인이 그대를 낳았도다.

5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.

6 ¶ 그대의 마음 위에 나를 인장같이 새기고, 그대의 팔 위에 인장같이 새기라. 이는 사랑은 죽음처럼 강하고 질투는 음부처럼 잔인하기 때문이라. 그곳의 숯들은 지극히 강렬한 불꽃을 내는 불의 숯들이라.

6 ¶ Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

7 많은 물들로도 사랑을 끌 수 없으며, 홍수들로도 그것을 잠기게 할 수 없도다. 만일 사람이 그의 집의 모든 재물을 주면서 사랑과 바꾸려고 한다면 그 일은 철저히 모멸당하리라.

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

8 ¶ 우리에게 작은 누이가 있는데 그녀는 젖가슴이 없도다. 그녀가 청혼을 받을 날에 우리는 우리의 누이를 위하여 무엇을 할까?

8 ¶ We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

9 만일 그녀가 성벽이라면 우리는 그녀 위에 은으로 된 궁전을 건축하겠노라. 그리고 만일 그녀가 문이라면 우리는 그녀를 백향목 판자들로 두르겠노라.

9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

10 나는 성벽이요, 나의 젖가슴은 망대들과 같도다. 그런즉 내가 그분의 두 눈에는 호의를 발견한 자 같았도다.

10 I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.

11 솔로몬이 바알하몬에서 포도원을 소유하였도다. 그가 그 포도원을 지키는 자들에게 세로 내주었도다. 그곳의 열매를 위하여 모든 이마다 은화 일천 개를 가져오게 하였도다.

11 Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.

12 나의 소유인 나의 포도원이 내 앞에 있도다. 오, 솔로몬이여, 당신께서 반드시 일천 개를 가지셔야 하며, 그것의 열매를 지키는 자들은 이백 개를 가져야 하나이다.

12 My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.

13 정원들에 거하는 당신이여, 벗들이 당신의 음성에 경청하오니, 저로 하여금 그것을 듣게 하소서.

13 Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.

14 ¶ 나의 사랑을 받는 이여, 서두르소서. 그리고 당신께서는 향료들의 산들 위에 있는 노루나 어린 수사슴같이 되소서.

14 ¶ Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
